About Us

OUR PASTOR

Born and raised in Georgia, Pastor Joseph Gibson felt God calling him into ministry in his late teens. He spent six years serving in the U.S. Air Force before attending Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, where he studied at Bible college. While attending school, Joseph joined the staff at The Way Community Church, where he met his future wife, Emily. After graduation, Joseph and Emily moved to Emily’s home state of Pennsylvania and began praying about where God might be leading them to plant a church.

They soon felt called to the Cranberry area of Venango County, where they planted CCC with a heart to serve the community and build a thriving church family. Today, Joseph and Emily are raising their four children—John Ryan, Davey, Hailey, and Danny—and continue to serve the CCC family together.

OUR VISION

At CCC, our vision is to be a vibrant, life-giving, Spirit-filled church where God has the freedom to move in power and in love. We believe church should be an exciting place - a place we look forward to attending, not a mere obligation. We gather each week to worship God with passion and freedom, to grow as disciples of Jesus, and to renew our sense of God-given purpose in this world.

OUR VALUES

At CCC, we hold fast to four primary core values. Each of these values helps shape how we live, worship, and serve:

The Authority of the Word of God. We believe the Word of God is living and active, and of upmost importance to how we live our lives today. (Hebrews 4:12)

The Leadership of Holy Spirit. We believe God continues to communicate with us today through the Holy Spirit, and we are called to walk step-in-step with the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. (Rom. 8:14)

Kingdom Stewardship. We believe generosity is a cornerstone of the Christian faith. The Bible calls us to be a giving people, not just in material things, but in every area of life. (2 Cor. 9:7)

Christ-Centered Community. We believe we are designed for community. CCC strives to be a place where we can connect, grow, and walk through life together. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

OUR HISTORY

After much prayer, Pastor Joseph and Emily Gibson moved to the Cranberry area in November 2015 with a desire to plant a life-giving, Spirit-filled church in Venango County. After nearly a year of hosting Bible studies in their home, Cranberry Community Church held its first official service on October 16, 2016, at the Cranberry Mall. As CCC continued to grow, the church purchased a building on Route 257 in Seneca, which remains our home today. After completing extensive renovations, CCC began meeting in the new facility in May 2021. From the very beginning, CCC has been marked by a deep desire to see the Holy Spirit move freely among His people. We’re grateful for all God has done, and we’re excited for all that’s still ahead.

We’d love for you to join us this weekend, be part of our story, and allow us to be part of yours!

These truths are the foundation of our faith and guide our life as a community of believers.

We hold these core doctrines to be essential to our understanding of God's Word.
